The Ten Commandments - Part 9 - The Truth About Lying

The ninth commandment prohibits false testimony because God’s very nature is truth and lying creates spiritual dissonance for His children. Lying takes many forms, including spoken falsehoods, the spread of gossip, and the living lie of an external religious profession without internal obedience. Believers are warned against believing deceptions about God’s character and are urged to let the Holy Spirit of truth guide them toward authentic living.
