Conversations With God I, One-on-One with God

SUMMARY

Pastor Jay challenges the congregation to rekindle their passion for personal prayer in the new year, stating that the primary purpose of prayer is to know God rather than just to get answers. Drawing from Ephesians, he outlines three prayer focuses: wisdom to apply God's knowledge to life, revelation to understand God’s character, and vision to see His power in community. The message ends with a call for miraculous intervention in the lives of specific church members facing serious health and tragic life circumstances.

Messes me up, he's over 30, but isn't it awesome, though, to have a team? This is our, a lot of our Thursday night team didn't they do a great job for us tonight? Thanks, guys. I won't say this enough, that just have to know what a gift it is, and I want you guys to know, and just to represent, I mean, you're a gift to our generation to to keep pressing ahead, to know that, you know, when we get a little tired, you know, that you guys are coming alongside, and I have to tell you what a blessing is for me to work with these people, because they're not, they're not, you know, hanging around, just, you know, you hear the word, we're just hanging out, that's kind of like, call someone up to say, what are you doing, nothing, just hanging out. Well, trust me, these guys aren't just hanging out, they're very intentional about following Christ with passion, and so it's awesome to work with them at every level of leadership, and it's part of who we are. You know, this time of the year, actually these days, just before the New Year starts, I've never been a big New Year's resolution fan, because I have found that I have been, for the most part, a lousy New Year's resolution, anyone else a lousy, I mean, you make these great resolutions, and by the 4th or 5th of January, you know, the chocolate, I just, the chocolate is, there's a demon in chocolate. It's somewhere in there, right, that just gets me, and I can't keep, but it is a good time to evaluate your life, isn't it? And to say, Lord, if I could do one thing different, if I could change in one way as I enter the New Year, and really stick with it, what would that be? And you know, more than anything, you know what that requires? Listen now, this is going to surprise you. It's humility. It's humility that says to God, you know what, God, I really do need you to help bring about change, because the only way to gain grace in your life is to be humble. God gives grace to the humble, but He resists the proud, or the ones, those of us who think, I don't need to change, I'm cool for 07. Anyone here think, you know, I'll be just as cool at 07 if I don't change at all? Obviously, you wouldn't be here, because this is, you'd be uncomfortable in this church, if you thought that. I saw two good movies in the last 10 days or so. I'm reluctant to say that. You know, some people already know I've gone down in your eyes in terms of my spirituality, because I go to a movie at all. One of them was called The Pursuit of Happiness. And if you haven't seen that, it's a movie, it's not just like some say based on truth, it's a true story of a man who through amazing humility and courage and perseverance overcame unbelievable adversity in his life to succeed in a very secular way. But the movie just kind of draws you in. Will Smith plays a lead character, and he does an amazing job of drawing you in. Did you know it's his own son that plays the, anyhow, maybe, I don't want to blow the whole movie for you, but it's really an excellent film if you haven't seen a good movie that isn't real foul and all that kind of stuff. The other one I saw is because one of our staff members said if I didn't see it, he was going to leave the staff. That was Scott Stevens. I had to see Rocky Balboa. Time would not allow me to do justice to the amount of deliverance that Scott needs from, no, I mean how into Rocky Balboa Scott is. And I have to say, when I first, how many of you when you first heard the idea that that Stallone's going to come back and do another fight movie? How ridiculous. He's going to be, what a ridiculous theme that a guy, you know, almost 60 years old could come back and do a fight. But I have to tell you, for the parts that I stayed awake, it was really good. Actually, honestly, it was, it was a good film. It was a good film and it was well written. I found out later, I checked this with Scott who has actually memorized the dialogue of the entire movie, that Stallone wrote the movie. He just, didn't he write the movie? And there's actually some life lessons in the movie, and I don't think I'm wrong in this, but I've heard from some pretty substantially credible sources that he's had a Christian experience. So, he says something in the film, though, that's relevant to what we're talking about. I'm not just babbling on here. He makes a comment about the nature of people, and his comment is that you do what you do. And one thing he says is, fighters fight. Life's going to knock you down, and I'm not going to quote it like Scott would, and you know, he could come up and talk the way Rocky does. I can't even mimic it, but he's, but at the end of the day, he says, fighters fight. He talks about the nature of people in a way, because that's what's in your heart to do. And as we come to the end of the year, that's sort of the point of it all. We want to talk about what do we really need to do in life to change as we go into the new year. And I've asked the Lord about this, and I'm going to be really honest and transparent with you, and again, I'm going to, if I've not already fallen off the pastoral icon pole, this will really do it. I'm going to ask the Lord to rekindle my passion for personal prayer. I used to be a really good prayer, and I'm not as good a prayer as I once was. That's hard to admit to you. I pray different ways, and I don't want you to think I don't pray at all, but I've come to realize that I've really got to get back to prayer the way I know I should be praying. And one more sort of caveat here. Some of you drove from, you know, maybe the South Hills or another part of the country to be here because the designated holiday preacher, DHP, Scott, was supposed to preach tonight, and now, you know, I'm preaching, and you're really ticked. And I want to repent, but when it came to this matter of personal prayer, Scott admitted it. He didn't know it. No, I'm just teasing. Scott said, actually, he's going to preach next week on a non-holiday weekend. Amen? So, please come now. Don't just clap and not show up. That'll really bum him out, okay? But I asked Scott if he would mind if I preached on this because I felt I needed to look at it carefully, again, for my own life. And as all pastors, all folks who have the opportunity to communicate will tell you, we learn more than you do when we get into this. It's embarrassing, but we do. We learn more from the Word because we're in it, and we learn as God speaks to our heart. So, I want to talk to you about prayer, personal prayer, in 2007. And I want to talk to you about it because the whole purpose of prayer, as far as I'm concerned, is to get to know God. It's not to get answers. It's to get to know God. And that's where we get off track. But we're talking about, I mean, by the way, I do need, and you're going to hear tonight, of some of the answers that I need. And you need, and we all need answers. But that's not the primary reason we pray. The primary reason we pray, Dan, is to know God. It's not just so, you know, we don't have problems in life, we don't have, you know, we get all our stuff worked out. It's to know God. That's the primary reason why I need to get back to personal prayer. 2006 taught me a lot of lessons in life, a lot of tough lessons. We've said more than once it was a tough year. But you know what? I'm at the end of the year now. And I feel more excited, and I was tempted to divert the message and talk about how excited I am about 2007, because I think J.R. said this, either at Christmas time or right before, I think God allowed us to go through a lot of testing in 2006, a lot of sifting, so that He could bless us in 2007. And if you're not fired up, just hang around for a little while, because 2007 is going to be an amazing year in this church. And I don't know what you think about prophecy, but I want you to just think about that as something that God would want you to know. It's going to be an amazing year for us, because we've been willing to fight, because fighters fight, because that's the nature of our heart. How many of you have either driven in or have a car that has a navigation system? I don't want to ask how many of you have a car, because I'll know that you are somewhat upper class. Not really. I mean, you know, they even sell them, like, you can buy them at Walmart now and attach them, so you can, I mean, I'm just, but I don't have one in any of my cheap cars. They just, you know, or even my nice cars, I don't have one. I think they're cool, though. I rented a car last spring when I went on a trip that had a navigation system, and I was in a city that I didn't know real well. And they're so cool, because you just tell where you want to go and pump it in. And then, you know, a lady with a really nice voice comes on and says, you will be exiting at exit 17, which is five miles on your right, and then you'll be exiting at exit 17, which is three miles. And she keeps saying it. And exit 17 is 100 yards away, and, you know, you have to be a complete moron to miss exit 17, which I proved on a couple of occasions that I wasn't really listening. But here's the cool thing. I had a lot of different places I had to get to, a couple different appointments to make, and there's a really cool thing, because if you miss exit 17, there's this pause, and the really nice lady goes and gets a drink of water or something, and comes back on, and she has a one-word answer. She doesn't say, you moron, you missed exit 17. She doesn't do that. She says, what's the word she says? Recalculating, at least on the one I had. She says, recalculating. I'm going back, she's thinking, and I'm trying to fix your problem because you missed it, and I'm recalculating the route now because you've passed exit 17, and to get where you need to go, you're going to have to go to 18 and probably turn around and come back or whatever, and then she gives me a whole new set of directions. And I've come to figure out that in a lot of ways, that's what prayer is for us. Prayer is the time we get up in the morning and we say to God, Lord, based on yesterday, it's time to recalculate. And isn't it awesome that God's gracious enough that He doesn't say, you moron, you messed up, I'm not talking to you anymore. God says to us, if you're willing to admit that you, you know, you weren't dialed in, you weren't listening to me, you weren't connecting with me, I'll give you a fresh start. I'll recalculate and give you a fresh set of directions for today, another opportunity. And there are some days, how many of you had some awesome days when you did make the right decisions and you did feel like, you know what, I did some things today, I just thought were awesome and God was, I mean, and we had those great moments. We have both of those. But I'm grateful because we're in a church where a lot of us, how many here had to recalculate at least once last year, okay? Good. You heard me say it and I know it's true of most of us. So I want to talk today about how this personal prayer things work and not long because you're going to do some things tonight and if you're the kind of person that likes to really laid back service where you don't participate much, you made a bad choice coming tonight. But you won't be sorry you can't because I think God's going to do something. I'd like you to read with me our text. It's in Ephesians. If you have your Bible, it's always better to read from your Bible, but it's also in your card, in your notes. And we do this so that you can have something to refer back to and you can write on this and hopefully the answers gave you pens or maybe you brought a pen. We're also going to put it up on the screen for you. Paul, the greatest Christian in the New Testament, other than Jesus of course, wrote this to the church at Ephesus and he wrote it out of his love for the church at Ephesus. And here's what he wrote about personal prayer. So let's read it together. Here's how Paul prayed. How many of you would like to pray like the Apostle Paul? I would like to get to that level. Here's what he said. He said, For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayer. So here it is. We know this is how he's been praying. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation so that you may know Him better. Let me remind you what I said early on in the message. Prayer is primarily about what? Getting to know God. Did I make that up? Look at what Paul said. I'm praying for you, for the spirit, there's two things there, of wisdom and revelation so that you can know Him better. Friends, my heart's desire about prayer for you and for me is that we can know God better. Now there's two specific ways right here, and we're going to talk about both of those a little bit. Let me unpack the two of them, because I'm going to give you a multiple choice test. I'm going to ask you to pick one way that you want your prayer life to improve in 2007. The first one would be a spirit of wisdom. If you're taking notes on the flip side of your outline, there's three blanks there or so. The first one is prayer for wisdom. What is wisdom? Wisdom is God's knowledge applied to life's issues. OK? It's one thing to know the answer. It's another thing to be able to apply it. I was in a room with some folks, this was a couple of months ago, folks from our church, and they weren't getting along at all. In fact, they were in a really heated argument, and ugly things were being said. And it didn't take a lot of knowledge to know that if it kept on going, that there was going to be some things said that were going to be so damaging that those relationships were likely not to be able to be fixed. So, knowledge wasn't the problem. I knew something had to be done, but what I needed was wisdom. Wisdom is the ability to take the knowledge that you have and to be able to act on it in such a way as to change the outcome of the events. Wisdom. Wisdom is knowing what to do with your finances so that you're blessed and not scraping along. You know you're supposed to do something to please God with them, but wisdom is knowing what to do with it in such a way that you're blessed. Wisdom is knowing how to raise your kids in a way that they want to follow God passionately. I can't tell you what a joy it is to have three grown kids when we sit around a dinner table and we don't just talk about how the Stuller's doing this year again. What was the weather like? We talk about following God. I don't take credit because I'm a great parent, I just say it's God's grace on our life. See, wisdom is applying life's, God's knowledge to life's issues. And I'm willing to say that probably most of us would want to say, well, I want, I want some. Who was the wisest man in the Bible? Oh man, this crowd is sharp. A guy named Solomon. Solomon wrote the book of Proverbs and one of my personal disciplines in life is I try to read a New Testament chapter, a psalm, and a proverb every day. Solomon wrote almost all of the Proverbs and if you read through those, those are some amazing ways of getting answers to specific life issues. Now, you want to know why Solomon was the wisest man that ever lived? This, this is a very obscure verse and I forgot to put it on your outline so you'll probably forget it unless you write it down. Second Chronicles 2, the Lord appeared to Solomon one night in a dream. I've never had that happen, but I bet it would be an awesome thing to wake up and here's God at the foot of your bed. What would you do? Change the channel? Say, oh my goodness Lord. I bet most of us, most of us would think, what did I do wrong, right? That's what you say to me when I show up, okay? But instead God's there to love Solomon. Here's what He says. He says this, that night God appeared to Solomon and asked him, ask for whatever you want me to give you. Now, how many of you would love for that to be your experience with God tonight? Don? The Lord's going to appear to you tonight and say, ask for whatever you want me to give you. Would that not be an amazing experience? Now, how many of you would not want to mess up that answer? But most of us would just answer from our heart, right? And I love Solomon's answer. Let me just read it for you. I'm sorry it's not, I should have put it on your outline, but I forgot about it or thought about it too late, as usual. Here's what happened. But you can look it up. 2 Chronicles chapter 2 verse 1, chapter 1 verse 8. Here's what He said, You have shown great kindness to David my father and have made me king in his place. And now Lord God, let Your promise to my father David be confirmed, for You've made me king over people who are as numerous as the dust of the earth. In other words, I'm the king and Lord, here's my thing. Give me wisdom. That was His prayer. That's what I need. Now, it's kind of funny because He said, I need wisdom to lead these people and govern them. And it sounds like God's sort of surprised. God said to Solomon, Well, since this is your heart's desire and you've not asked for wealth, which is what most people say, hey, Lord, give me a billion dollars, or riches or honor, nor for the death of your enemies and all these kinds of things. Therefore, He said, I'm going to give you wisdom and I'm also going to give you wealth, riches and honor, such as no king was who was before or none who had followed you will ever have. Solomon became the richest king, by the way, that ever lived. Why? Because he had wisdom. Wisdom is the ability to apply God's knowledge to life's issues. But, friends, if that's something, you know, it's just practical praying. But let me remind you, let me remind you, all of us need that. But that should not, don't, here's the trick. If you let that become, therefore, I want that so that I don't make up, you know, don't make mistakes or don't miss out on deals or don't mess up. Here's a little reminder. I'd like to talk about this a little bit more than I have time tonight. But here's what Jesus said in Matthew chapter 7. Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, is going to enter the kingdom of heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, didn't we prophesy in your name and drive out demons and perform many miracles? Didn't a lot of us do the right things? Weren't we wise? And He's going to say plainly, I never knew you. So the secret about wisdom is don't just be after wisdom so that you can make all the right decisions. Be after wisdom so you can know the Lord better. Okay. Good thing, though. If you, if your thing's practical answers, go after wisdom. Got to move on. Second thing is the spirit of revelation. Revelation. Wisdom is great, but not enough. Getting your issues fixed is great, but not enough. You need revelation. Revelation, let me define that for you, is God's truth about himself previously undisclosed to you, but now made known. I'll say that again. Revelation is God's truth about himself previously undisclosed to you, now made known. Tomorrow I'll have that on the screens, but tonight, because you're so smart, we don't put all this stuff on the screen. God's truth about himself previously undisclosed to you, now made known. God's character, God's heart, traits, that's revelation. Revelation is when God surprises you with things about himself that you just couldn't imagine. Illustration. Saul, the same guy named Paul, before he became a Christian, was a, did you know he was a Christian hater? In fact, it's widely known that he would persecute and even kill Christians because he was a, he was a Jew who thought that Christians were, were blaspheming the one true God? And he was, he had a reputation for being really, really mean. And God appeared to a, to a Christ follower named Ananias. He said to Ananias in Acts chapter 9, Ananias, there's a guy named Saul who's staying at this particular house, and I want you to go and pray for him. And Ananias says back to the Lord, you can read about this in Acts 9, he says, Lord, you know, I appreciate the offer, but this guy Saul is a bad dude and he kills people. I'm not going. Well, I'm, I'm paraphrasing, but that's basically what he says. Then God gave Ananias revelation. And he said, wait, no, Ananias, I've got some news for you. Something's been going on in his life. And here's what I want, I want you to go lay hands on him. And here's what he says. Listen to this. This is God speaking to Ananias. This is revelation. This is the change. He said, go, this man is now my chosen instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles, that's us, and their kings, and before the people of Israel. I will show him how much he must suffer for my name. See, God gave him a revelation. God had done something undisclosed before, now known by him. Friends, here's what I want to say to you. Many of us, please write it down, pray for revelation in 2007. Pray that God would disclose some things to you about himself that you didn't know before, so that you'll know him better. One of the reasons, some of you say, I wish I could trust God more. One of the reasons, you can't know someone you don't, I'm sorry, you can't trust someone you don't know. So if you want to, if you want to be able to trust God more, you have to know him better. How do you know him better? Revelation. So that's the number two prayer, a prayer for the spirit of revelation. I can't think of a more powerful thing. Now God sometimes makes you, when you pray that prayer, he has you do some weird things. He told Abraham, kill your son, Isaac, and then at the last minute, he saved him. He told Moses, go back to Pharaoh. Pharaoh said, I'm going to kill if I see you. God said, yeah, you want some revelation? Go back to Pharaoh. God protected, you know all these stories. He told Gideon, I want you to fight for me. If you have 30,000, what was it, 30,000 people in your army, chop it down to 300 and I'll take care of it. I mean, when you pray for revelation, some strange things can happen, but God reveals his character to you. He leads you by hearing his voice, and I'd like to talk a lot more about that. I don't have time, but how many of you would love to know you're hearing God's voice every day, leading you? That's revelation, leading you. Revelation. Last one is this. It's a spirit, and I didn't know quite how to say it. We're going to read on. Let's read on in our chapter here. This is the second part. This is Ephesians chapter 1 and verse 17. I pray also that the eyes of your heart, would you read it out loud with me? That the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he's called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints and his incomparably great power for us who believe. Wait a minute. Back it up, please. Thank you. I didn't know what word to use for eyes of the heart may be enlightened, so I call it the prayer of vision. Wisdom, revelation, or vision. Eyes of the heart to see what two things? The hope of the riches of the people of God all around us, incomparable riches. You know what I love about the church? We're surrounded by this rich gift. You know, the longer I stay in this earth as a follower of Christ, the more thankful I am that we have a church. Aren't you? I mean real people that are following Christ together. That's what Paul says. This is a great gift, this glorious inheritance in us. And then number two, this power, this power to do miracles. Let's go on and continue reading. That power is like the working of his mighty strength which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at the right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule, authority, power, and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. What is the spirit of vision? It's the ability to trust God for the gift of relationships together. We're going to see this, friends. Oakland is going to start in about 11 weeks. Can you believe that? If you've not gone over there, I want to encourage you on New Year's Day when everyone's like, you know, still in a stupor and still sleeping, get up about 11 o'clock and drive over to Oakland and just get off on, is it Forbes Scott? And go up to McKee Place and turn left and you'll see this crazy-looking red ceramic brick building. That's our building that right now as we speak is being renovated on the inside. That's where the church is going to be starting in less than three months, right in the heart. I mean it's like you can hit the front of UPMC with a stone from that place. 70,000 students within five miles or less. Community right there. The second thing is power. Let me end with this. Friends, there are things that have happened this year. There are things that have happened this week that I cannot answer. I don't have the power to do it. Let me give you four of them and I want to ask you to write these down if you possibly can because I need you to pray for these. Here are four things that happened this week. The day before Christmas we got a phone call that one of our teenagers of a family that's been a faithful family member for years here at North Way, the Ramses, that their son Patrick had been diagnosed, just had some problems and wasn't feeling well and they lingered for a while and finally went to a physician. They took him to Children's Hospital, ran some tests and here it turns out he has serious leukemia. And here's this family trying to figure out how in the world did this happen? This is a family that's faithful and you know I stand up here week after week and say friends we don't have any guarantees that anything's going to be the same tomorrow. So would you pray for Patrick Ramsey because he needs healing from leukemia and we believe God's going to do that. And then some of you may have heard and this just sort of came to us tragically early in the week that one of our senior citizens, one of the ladies that puts all those bulletins together and comes and is part of the community on Thursday of seniors. It just helps service by making those bulletins happen and she was walking from our home just down to a convenience store to buy something and was hit by a car. And Bernice Mullen passed away within a day or so. I think we have a, I think we might even have a photograph of Bernice if we have that. Wait, there she is. Three of Bernice's grandchildren serve here at North Way. One of them is here tonight helping to lead the service from the back. What a tragedy, what a sad thing. We need the power of God. Now she's with Jesus but we need the power to go on and not be too crushed by that loss. Then we heard, many of you have maybe not heard this yet, but one of our missionary families, Paul and Kate Carter, have four kids. If you don't know the Carters, they're an amazing family. Paul is an upper management guy in corporate America. He was making a lot of money and doing well. Became a Christian in this church and a couple years later said, I feel a call to mission field. I have to tell you, God forgive me, I was a little skeptical. Really? I mean, you're a pretty successful guy. You want to leave? I mean, you know, you have a nice home. You have four kids. You want to go to where? I want to go to Africa. Why don't you get some counseling first? Not to be deterred, he went through a long process, he and Kate, and took their four children to Africa and they're serving in Senegal. And you've heard us speak now and then. We've had some teams that have gone over there. Well, we got news this week that two of his daughters have contracted very serious malaria, the kind that gets up into your blood system and can be lethal, not just the kind that causes you a lot of discomfort. In fact, they had to life flight two of them to a real hospital because there wasn't any place in Senegal to treat them. And they're in Paris right now being treated. One of them is doing pretty well. The other one is still in a coma. So I want you to pray for them. And then the last person up there you see, and I know you know that name, that's Pastor JR's wife. And Pastor JR asked me to share this with you. He'll talk about it more next week. But the last couple of months have been very hard for the Kerrs because Rachel went in for just a basic checkup, you know, and doctor felt some things up here in front. So, well, you know, let's get this checked out, some nozzles or something. And those nozzles didn't respond well to the first test. They went back for the second test and said, you know, these are troublesome. So she finally went in and had a biopsy done. And the biopsy came back and said that they're cancerous. They're actually malignant cancerous. And we need to take your thyroid out pretty quick here. Now, the good news is that thyroid cancer is pretty treatable. But if you're 30 years old and you have cancer of any kind, that's a pretty big shock, isn't it? You know, Pastor JR is going to stand up here next weekend. You know what? He's not going to sit here and he's not going to say, you know, God, you've just been picking on me. And it's just, you know, he's going to stand up here and he's going to say to you, we serve a powerful God who can do all things. And God's allowed this to happen. I don't know why, but I'm trusting God to heal my wife, whether miraculously or through doctors, my wife's going to be healed and we're going to serve God and see him do great things. Now, friends, here's what we're going to ask you to do. That's why we need to see the prayer of vision, because we need community and we need power for things that we can't figure out on our own. Here's what I want you to do. We're going to quietly just worship up here. And if you look carefully now, I'm going to lift the lights up as high as we can without turning on the big bright ones. But if you look along the sides, you can see that it looks like we've added a strip of wallpaper. What that really is, it's wallboard that you can write on. And there are little Sharpie pens all around the walls and even on the back. And even though there's several hundred people here, for the next few minutes, we want you to do this. I want you to get up from your seat, if you'd want to. You don't have to do anything. You don't want to do it. But I'm going to ask you to do it as an act of faith and go over to any place on any one of the boards. I don't want you to like, you know, share the journal of your life story. OK? A couple of people on Thursday night decided that they wanted to talk about what it was like when they were three. And, you know, this is about your prayer focus for 2007. Your prayer for wisdom, revelation, or vision. Say, Lord, I want to pray for the spirit of revelation to know you better. And if you know a specific area, say, you know, whatever it is, put it down there. Be specific. Now, you don't have to sign it, or you can sign it. You can initial it, or whatever you want to do. But, friends, and then we're going to, over the next couple of weeks, Scott's going to preach next week, and J.R. the following week, or maybe Mike. We're going to pray for these things, and we're going to start asking God to do miracles. Now, while they're doing that, in your notes, hand me one of those, please, would you, Isaac? There should be a little, a plain three-by-five card. Yeah, there is. It looks like that. You can write any other things that I talked about, or maybe I didn't talk about. Anything you want to believe God for in 2007, and then I want you to put this in your purse, or, you know, fold it once and put it in your pocket. Don't crumple it up, because I want you to keep this as a reminder of what you want God to do. Maybe you want God to bless your grandson, or your granddaughter. Maybe you want your marriage to be renewed. Maybe you want a new job. Maybe you want to serve God, and you don't know how. Write it on here, okay? Well, this is going to take us about eight or ten minutes, but I want you to put it on there by faith, because we're going to do, this is what we're doing. Micah read, from 2nd Chronicles, if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will heal from heaven, hear from heaven, and forgive their sin, and heal their land, heal their people. So, here's what we're going to do. You ready? Let's stand together. Obviously, let's not all rush off
