The gift of prophecy is highlighted as an available tool for strengthening, encouragement, and comfort, rather than a means of manipulation. Mature exercise of prophetic gifts requires learning to listen to the Spirit, timing one's contributions appropriately, and submitting to the discernment of church leadership.
